ASIO Distortion Fix

Back in February of 2003, I discovered a problem with the RPC-1 card when running any music program with the Steinberg developed ASIO drivers.

When ever recording or playing back songs, after a short period of time, the signal would run into a form of unpleasant distortion. Also, the synchronisation between the VS-2480 and the PC audio software would lose a few ms with each consecutive transfer of tracks.

If you are running, or plan to install the RPC-1 cards into your PC or Macintosh, you can download these software updates here.

The following driver updates are the official Roland  driver updates for PC and Macintosh, and were sent to me for website inclusion by a representative of Roland US.

RPC-1 Driver Update (PC)

RPC-1 Driver Update (Mac1)

and (Mac2) (Mac users need both files)

These drivers do not work with the M-Audio R-BUS Delta cards. Look on the M-Audio website for such updates.
